LERA's Eddy Roberts Named 2018 Young Professional of the Year by ACEC

Congratulations to LERA's Eddy Roberts, Senior Associate for being one of only five engineers across the United States named ACEC's 2018 Young Professional of the Year! The honor is given to a select group of young engineers who are making an impact on their profession and society at large. An expert in high-rise design, Eddy's record-breaking projects and charitable involvement exemplify the mission of this prestigious award.

Eddy was the Project Manager for the 555-m Lotte World Tower in Seoul, South Korea, the fifth tallest building in the world. He also led, as Project Manager, the structural design of PNB 118 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which will rise to over 600 m upon completion. Eddy embraces the characteristics of the award through his leadership as a key member of LERA's team for Canstruction New York, an annual design competition that challenges teams of architects and engineers to create larger-than-life pop art masterpieces constructed entirely out of unopened cans of food, which are then donated to charity. He was also a Guest Instructor for the University of Pennsylvania Department of Architecture, and regularly volunteers to tutor architectural professionals for the annual Architecture Registration Exam (ARE).

LERA is excited to congratulate Eddy on his hard work and success! Eddy will be on hand to accept his award in person at the ACEC National Conference in Las Vegas, NV on October 30, 2018.
