LERA's Yun Luo named 'Young Engineer of the Year' at 2021 SEAoNY EISE Awards

Yun Luo has been awarded 'Young Engineer of the Year' at SEAoNY Excellence in Structural Engineering Awards 2021!

Structural Engineers Association of New York (SEAONY) has named Yun Luo, P.E. (TX), Associate at LERA Consulting Structural Engineers as their Young Engineer of the Year. SEAoNY highlights engineers under the age of 36 who represent the top rising engineer in the structural engineering industry who give back to their industry and communities. The emphasis of this award is to recognize a Young Engineer that is providing a benefit to the industry, firms, and communities.

Yun Luo, P.E. (TX) is an Associate at LERA Consulting Structural Engineers and started her career at the firm in 2017 after receiving a Master of Science, Structural Engineering from University of Texas at Austin in 2017 and Bachelors of Science, Civil Engineering from Tufts University in 2012. Yun has experience with a broad spectrum of public and private project types, with expertise in the design of healthcare institutions.

Yun serves as Co-chair of the Structural Engineer Emergency Response (SEER) Committee, Structural Engineers Association of New York (SEAoNY). She is also a member of the Professional Women in Construction, New York Chapter.

Yun was named an Emerging Leader in the Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation's 2020 program, honored with a Next Generation of Women Builders Award by the Women Builders Council in 2019 and was profiled in the New York Real Estate Journal, Women in Building Services Spotlight in 2018.
