LERA Opens New Office in Salt Lake City
World-Class Structural Engineering Firm Expands Reach in Western United States
SALT LAKE CITY, UT July 20, 2024 — LERA Consulting Structural Engineers (LERA), a world-renowned, award-winning structural engineering consulting firm based in New York City, has opened a new office in Salt Lake City, UT. The office is under the leadership of Associate Partners Jason Stone, P.E. and Matthew Melrose, P.E.

With over 100 years of experience and projects in 59 countries, LERA’s reach continues to expand worldwide, with additional offices in New York City, Mumbai, Jaipur, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Seoul.

Working throughout the U.S., with project experience in 35 states, LERA has led the structural design of numerous institutional and cultural projects across the Mountain and Western regions. LERA led the structural design of the Natural History Museum of Utah, a top attraction in Salt Lake City, which blends seamlessly into the remarkable landscape of Utah. Designed as an abstract representation of the region’s natural landscape, the LEED Gold-certified museum was honored with numerous design awards, including the 2021 Award of Excellence in Design from the ASLA Professional Awards, and the 2014 SCUP/AIA CAE Honor Award for Excellence in Architecture.
