Weber Shandwick Office | CMG Manhattan

LERA was the structural engineer for this 85,000-sf high-end office fit-out for public relations firm, Weber Shandwick, part of a 9-floor, 230,000-sf relocation of 10 corporate brands into 909 Third Avenue (one of the few post-tensioned office buildings in New York City). LERA designed new multi-level stairs that were incorporated into the post-tensioned concrete building by creating cutouts into the floor levels.

The design of the space required the installation of two sets of stairs. The first stair connects two floors and the second stair connects three floors. At the Fifth Floor, the ceilings from slab-to-slab measure over 20 ft, allowing for ample ceiling height and longer spans on the stairs. This project achieved LEED Gold certification.
