U.S. Steel Headquarters Tower

This 3.4-million-sf (316,000-sm), 64-story office building included retail and restaurant space and parking for 600 cars.  The corporate headquarters featured a rooftop heliport.

Our structural designs for the Headquarters of the United States Steel Corporation, until recently the largest privately-owned building in the world, provided for an enhanced and distinctive architectural appearance, improved efficiency, reduced floor-to-floor height, and reduced cost…all while allowing three 4,000m² floors to be constructed each week, with but a single eight-hour shift.
