Richard Serra Sculpture

The sculpture consists of three 15-foot high by 100-foot long steel plates placed side by side.  LERA reviewed the stability of the plates under wind and seismic loads, and designed their supports and foundation system.  The foundation system needed to straddle several existing utility pipes running beneath the sculpture.  The supports needed to accommodate the expansion and contraction of the plates due to temperature changes.

The sculpture is part of Princeton's permanent collection and is installed near the Natural Sciences Neighborhood.
