New York Tolerance Center

LERA was the structural engineer for a new museum and training center located on the 1st Floor and basement of the Daily News Building. The 20,000-sf (1,860-sm) training center contained spaces specially designed for interactive workshops and exhibits, intended to be a “social laboratory” for diversity training programs aimed at “front-line” professionals, such as teachers, police officers and community leaders. The center included interactive touch screen exhibits, media walls, a theater, a lecture hall and additional screening and exhibition areas.
