Ford Hub NYC | Westfield World Trade Center 

In addition to LERA’s work as the structural engineer for 4 World Trade Center, LERA provided structural engineering services for the interior fitout of Ford Hub NYC at Westfield World Trade Center.

LERA designed a structural backup system for the glass ceiling of the store’s “blue portal” to adhere it to stainless steel angles using high strength structural adhesive, bolted to a system of Unistrut hangers suspended and braced from the slab above. The blue portal also has glass walls with a large, embedded digital mobility map supported by a steel frame. In addition, LERA designed the stainless steel signage racks that are a crucial element of the storefront’s aesthetic.
