Lehman College
Nursing, Education, Research and Practice Center
City University of New York | CUNY Center
LERA was the structural engineer for a new 52,379-sf (4,866-sm), 3-story building for the Lehman College Department of Nursing. The building contains classrooms, teaching and research laboratories, faculty offices and support spaces, and connects to the underground walkway system that links all of the buildings on campus. The centerpiece is a nursing simulation lab, which emulates a clinical environment for students.
The project also involved the demolition of a 1-story temporary building on site in order to make space for the new building.
