CANstruction | New York
An annual art show, design competition and food drive rolled into one event, Canstruction raises hunger awareness by challenging teams of architects and engineers to create larger-than-life pop art masterpieces constructed entirely out of unopened food cans. At the end of the competition, all of the cans are donated to local charities, helping to provide thousands of meals for those in need.
In 2017 and 2019, LERA won the top prize for the 25th and 27th Anniversary of Canstruction New York, continuing our strong tradition in the competition. Since our first entry in 2002, LERA has won 18 awards and donated nearly 76,000 canned goods and food items to local charities, helping to feed over 12,000 New Yorkers.
