TCS Indore Campus

LERA led the structural design for the buildings and feature structures composing a new IT office campus for TATA Consultancy Services (TCS), located in the Special Economic Zone of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.

A series of 3- to 7-story buildings sprawl across the campus, totaling 1.2 million sf, including an executive business center, a library, an auditorium and other shared facilities, such as cafeterias, utility buildings and gate complexes. The campus contains various suspended, landscaped ramps, as well as a 2-story parking structure topped by a 98-ft by 67-ft (30 m x 20 m) body of water with surrounding recreational green space.

The buildings’ structures feature a variety of long spans and slanting/tilt-shaped forms. LERA collaborated with the project architects to integrate the external elevation voids, setbacks and sloping surfaces, and blend them with the base structural system. The structural systems for each unit are devised to achieve an efficient construction sequence, as well as to mitigate the poor subsurface soil conditions of the site. LERA also provided structural recommendations for the base structures of intricate landscape elements, sculptures and other ornamental design features.
