Historic Preservation Services for DCAS

New York, NY

This project consists of facade restoration of some of the most historically significant City-owned buildings in New York. Suffering from deferred maintenance, the facade of Manhattan Criminal Courts Building, 17-story Art Deco-influenced structure is deteriorated due to water infiltration. The limestone and granite exterior will be restored to a safe and dignified condition. The New York Life Insurance Building Facade Restoration, an Italian Renaissance-style Beaux Arts Building, suffers from years of deferred maintenance and material degradation. Restoration of its facade will include replacement of missing elements and those damaged beyond repair. Restoration of the facade of the 8-story Excelsior Building building will include removing, repairing and re-installing the copper cornice. All limestone will be repointed and unique non-standar existing brick will be salvaged and reused.
