William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Center Little Rock, AR
In response to Bill Clinton’s desire to “put things in the light”, the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Center will be a vibrant place, accessible, highly visible and mutable. The main building takes the form of a glass bridge symbolizing President Clinton’s theme of “Building a Bridge to the 21st Century.” This project is a 27.7-acre riverside center which includes a University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service, a park and a 5,000-sf (465-m) penthouse. The project features a sleek, glass-box museum and banquet hall for 400, and includes a glass-enclosed bridge that spans 420-ft (128 m). The building’s transparency and day lit spaces are designed to serve as very public invitations. This presidential center includes a new public park, as well. The building has received a LEED Silver Rating. |
