This project consists of a 69,000-sf (6,400-sm) learning facility. The building is intended to serve as a "campus within a campus" containing laboratory, teaching, and administrative functions, and render the sciences more accessible to a broader community. The entry is defined by a multi story glass atrium linking graduate and undergraduate wings. A central courtyard will feature a constructed wetland that will serve as a model of urban biotecture. The facility is expected to become the first LEED certified building in the City University of New York.
