Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Sara Delano Roosevelt House, a 20,000-sf (1,900-sm) 6 story steel and wood framed house, suffers from sub-standard infrastructure and building systems and lack of accessibility. This project consists of a renovation to transform the existing facility into a state-of-the-art academic conference center and includes restoration of the historic facade; new elevator and stairs; mechanical/electrical systems upgrade to accommodate data and telecommunications systems; and creation of a large, double-height lecture hall for up to 100 people.
